Multiple numbers
Because having a phone line is so cheap and easy ($2 / month for each additional phone line in most areas) and you are billed on usage only, regardless which phone line you use, it becomes extremely easy to add a phone line.
We can set up new phone lines for you which you can access using either more ATAs (each ATA has 2 phone line jacks usually) or softphones. Each such a phone line can be administered from your account and would come with a full set of calling features, including its very ownÂ
Alternatively, each additional phone line could ring on your main phone line. We can optionally add a prefix to the Caller ID names so that whenever that particular phone number rings, the prefix appears on your Caller ID display before the name. You could then manage those numbers from your account, as follows:
In the example above, you can see 4 phone numbers being routed to the same phone line. The first three are local to Toronto, while the last is a special international number called iNUM. Each number (except the main one) is set with its own Caller ID prefix, so when it rings the main line, the prefix is displayed before the name on the display, allowing the owner to know which phone number they are answering. If the ring is left unanswered, it goes into the voicemail (or IVR) associated with each phone line.
More complex, PBX (private branch exchange) - like or IVR (Interactive Voice Response) setups are also possible and available on request.
